Godslayer is a complete, standalone epic and the inaugural volume of The Last Legends, a planned ten-part saga that weaves together myth, history, and fantasy.

The Characters
The Journey
The story unfolds across the ancient Hellenic world in 420 BC, during the fragile and contentious peace brokered by Nicias between the Athenian-led Delian League and the Spartan-led Peloponnesian League; a peace that masks deeper, older conflicts.
The epic begins on the island of Crete, in the fantasy city-state of Melite.
Inspired by the ancient Minoan and Classical spirit of the island, Melite is a place of fleeting peace, soon to be shattered by the forces of a forgotten war.
Orion’s odyssey carries him and his companions across the mainland and islands of the Aegean Sea.
His quest leads from the political heart of Athens to sacred oracles and unexpected sanctuaries, a journey to discover the true meaning of friendship and the cost of memory.

About the Author
My name is George Kissamitakis and I am a writer of Greek and British heritage, raised on the island of Crete, Greece, a place where myths are not mere stories, but the wind in the rocky hills and the salt on the stones of ancient ruins.
My writing is inspired in this landscape, blending the deep resonance of my surroundings with a lifelong passion for fantasy. For over a decade, I have explored the duality of life and death, the weight of memory, the search for identity, and the quiet echoes of the divine in the human world through stories and poetry.
Godslayer is the culmination of that journey: a novel born from the lifelong conversation between language and myth.
By profession, I am also a teacher of English. I have authored educational books that weave storytelling with pedagogy, aimed at engaging students who are learning English as a foreign language. I continue to teach, write, and listen for the old stories in the Cretan wind.
